Mnemonic: SIADH

  1. Small cell lung tumors
  2. Infection
  3. Abscess
  4. Drugs (carbamazepine and antipsychotics)
  5. Head injury

Diagnosis and Diagnostic Criteria

Mnemonic: SOD-IUN TEA

  1. Serum Osmolarity Decreased (<280 mOsm/kg H2O)
  2. Increased Urine Na (>40 mmol/L) and osmolarity (>100 mOsm/kg H2O)
  3. Thyroid function – Normal TSH
  4. Euvolemia
  5. Adrenal function – Normal cortisol
