Spermatic cord enters the inguinal canal through the deep inguinal ring and passes out through the superficial inguinal ring.

1. 3 Arteries:

Mnemonic: ABCD

Arteries –

  • Balls (Testicular artery from abdominal aorta)
  • Cremasteric artery (from inferior epigastric artery)
  • Deferential artery to ductus deferens (from inferior vesical artery)

2. 3 Nerves:

Mnemonic: SIGN

  • Sympathetic Nerves (around the deferential artery)
  • Ilioinguinal Nerve (lies outside the spermatic cord)
  • Genital branch of Genitofemoral Nerve (supplies cremaster)

3. 3 Tubes:

  • Ductus deferens
  • Pampiniform plexus (drains into testicular veins)
  • Lymphatics (drains into lumbar and para-aortic nodes)
